My love of fiber arts began more than a decade ago with my first knitting class. From there, I learned to dye yarn, spin on both wheel and drop spindle, explored weaving and nålbinding, and became increasingly fascinated by the traditions, techniques, and materials that make the fiber arts so interesting.
Thatched Roof Cottage grew from my interest in the rich and varied world of fiber arts. Today, the Cottage is home to a comprehensive Fiber Festivals & Events List, researched and updated throughout the year with events from across the U.S., along with a curated collection of distinctive gifts, accessories, and home goods inspired by knitting and fiber arts.
